Szelengiewicz Brother's Show Off New Bodies and Bring Home the Gold & Silver at VSP!

On Saturday, August 1, 2020 the Szelengiewicz Boys debuted their new kart bodies at Volusia Speedway Park (De Leon Springs, FL), but showing off their bodies while at a new track wasn't all they had to excited for...the boys brought home 1st & 2nd place wins!

After a motor mishaps in Heat 1 with Luke Szelengiewicz's kart and having to sit out the remainder of the Heat, brother Ethan Szelengiewicz controlled the new track bringing in a 1st place win.

Thankful for a prepared, and generous, family friend and Original Speedway Park native, Darrell Conley, Luke's kart was supplied a

spare motor, allowing him to get back on the track and bring in his own 1st place win during Heat 2.

The feature race began with Ethan, 27, starting 1st, and Luke, 4, starting 3rd. After the drop of the green flag Ethan was quickly bumped to 2nd followed by Luke in 3rd. Following a caution flag and original line-up restart Ethan kept his 1st place position, and 3 laps in Luke followed in 2nd. A second caution flag was thrown shortly after allowing the boys to restart in their 1st & 2nd positions. 9 laps to go when the green flag was dropped. Luke immediately passing his brother, and holding 1st place for 5 laps. Ethan came on the inside with a clean pass with the boys finishing up the race with Ethan in 1st and Luke in 2nd.

At tech the boys showed great sportsmanship congratulating, shaking hands, and complementing not just each other, but their competitors as well!

As a family, and race-team, we all had a great time out at Volusia Speedway Park, and want to thank James (Park Owner/Manager) and all of our Sponsors for an amazing time, and all the support.
